Free scholarship to children
For the last two decades Trust has been offering scholarships to number of poor students either directly or through Sponsorship of their courses in association with Ramakrishna Mission, Chennai. Scholarships are awarded based upon various criteria, which usually reflect the values and purposes of the donor or founder of the award. Scholarship money is not required to be repaid by the student.Scholarships are often merit-based, while grants tend to be need-based.
Support to children and old-age home
Since its inception Trust has taken up several charitable activities for the needy and under privileged, in form of various means including Annadanam, Bastradanam to Old Age Homes and Orphanages.
Trust provides food, clothes and medicines to inmates of various children/old age homes, on various occasions during the year.By Careful recruitment training and thorough checking of references for all nurses and care staff, we match qualifications, experience and personalities with client's specific needs.

Health checkup & rehabilitation
Since its inception Trust has taken up several charitable activities for the needy and under privileged, in form of free medical Centre at premise of convenience. We obviously need to improve our failing healthcare system where costs are skyrocketing and the poor do not have the healthcare they need. Healthcare is a basic right of a human being which should be available for everyone and shouldn’t be treated as a commodity only for those who can spend money to buy the services.
Free medical health center
Trust has an established medical dispensary in the SMCA Trust office premises with an aim to provide services to the deprivedcommunity. With one bed capacity, this dispensary functions for three days a week, viz Monday, Wednesday & Friday. On roll to provide medical services we have a Female Chief Medical Officer and a Female Compounder. Medical supplies are bought on by us on a monthly basis in consultation with medical officer. The dispensary provides basic medical diagnosis and primary care to almost 30 individuals per day. This dispensary has been functioning for past twenty years.The Trust works in tandem with organizations like Ramakrishna Mission, Bharat SevashramShanga, Cancer Research Institute, Gunj and many others for widening the reach to the needy.
Blood donation camp
Since its inception Trust has taken up several charitable activities for the needy and under privileged, in form of various means including free blood donation camps.One of the biggest challenges to blood safety particularly is accessing safe and adequate quantities of blood and blood products.Good knowledge about blood donation practices is not transforming in donating blood. Interactive awareness on blood donation should be organized to create awareness and opportunities for blood donation.
Annadanam
Annadanam is a way of building a deep contact with the other human being - by serving by hand with total involvement, love and devotion. Believe me, to be very hungry and maintain your dignity and focus is enormously challenging. We organize food distribution camps in slums, beach, temple, church, old age and children home on regular basis and during natural calamities such as floods, cyclones etc. Mass feeding is also conducted during festivals such as Sri Sri Durgapuja. Through a simple act of donating Annadanam, you can touch another life and enrich your own. Important occasions in your life, such as birthdays, anniversaries or any other day of your choice, can be an opportunity to offer Annadanam and be a part of SMCA Charitable Trust endeavor to spread joy, health and wellbeing. You can also offer Annadanam in memory of a loved one. For special occasions like Sri Sri Durgapuja, it is Annadanam from generous donors that allows us to serve food to the lakhs of people who visits.
